Coming to Study at IAE Montpellier
IAE Montpellier welcomes international students every year through various programs. Whether you are coming as an exchange student, a free mover, or to pursue a full degree, here is all the information you need to prepare for your arrival!
Programs to Study
IAE Montpellier welcomes students from all over the world each year thanks to its numerous academic partnerships and international network. Joining IAE Montpellier means benefiting from high-quality training in management, with programs tailored to the needs of the job market.
Exchange Students
Each year, more than 120 international students come to study at IAE Montpellier through the Erasmus+ program or a bilateral agreement between their university and IAE Montpellier. You can spend one semester or a full academic year at our institution.
📢 Important: IAE Montpellier does not issue diplomas for exchange students.
📌 How to apply?
1️⃣ Check with your home university – Contact your university’s International Relations office to learn about the selection criteria.
2️⃣ Nomination by your coordinator – Your university must officially nominate you to IAE Montpellier.
3️⃣ Complete your application on MoveOn – You will receive a link to submit the required documents and send a PDF version to
4️⃣ Receive your acceptance letter (for non-European students only).
5️⃣ Pay registration fees at your home university and ensure you have a valid student card.
6️⃣ Finalize your registration at IAE Montpellier and obtain your student card upon arrival.
7️⃣ Access your transcript at the end of your stay via IAE’s intranet. The results will be recognized by your home university.

Free Mover
Independent international students (Free Movers) can study at IAE Montpellier for one or two semesters without being part of a specific exchange program.
📢 Important: As a Free Mover, you are fully responsible for organizing your mobility before, during, and after your stay.

Do you wish to join IAE Montpellier outside of an exchange program? You can apply directly to one of our programs. Admission depends on your academic background and a required level of French.

DELF/DALF Results :
More Info on DELF / DALFThe DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi en Langue Française) diplomas were established by the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education, and Research to validate French language proficiency. Once obtained, these diplomas are valid indefinitely. To be admitted, candidates must have at least achieved a DELF/DALF B2 level.DELF/DALF Results
TCF Results :
More Info on the TCFThe TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) is a standardized and calibrated general French language test administered by the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education, and Research. The validity of the results is two years. A minimum of 60 days is required between two sessions if you wish to retake the test. To be admitted, candidates must have achieved at least level 4. For more information on French language tests, visit the Campus France website.
It is also important to note that current regulations state that any candidate wishing to enroll in a second cycle must hold a first cycle diploma or have completed at least two years of higher education.
Registration Fees:
Registration fees depend on the chosen study program. Students enrolled in an inter-university exchange program are exempt from registration fees.
The student card serves as proof of student status at a higher education institution. It includes important data such as the payment of registration fees, affiliation with the social security system, and registration with the university library. The card is essential for accessing exams and allows you to receive multiple discounts at sports or cultural organizations and many businesses.
During registration, students must also complete the necessary steps to register for student social security. After receiving the provisional student card or enrollment certificate, students can then apply for their residence permit.
