Internationalization: A Strategic Growth Driver for IAE Montpellier

As part of its global development strategy, IAE Montpellier is strengthening academic and economic partnerships in Southeast Asia. During the Discover Philippines & Micronesia mission—organized by Campus France and led by Sylvain Lamourette—IAE Montpellier’s Director, Emmanuel Houzé, led two key initiatives in the Philippines.

A Strategic Partnership in Progress with ECCP for a Tailored MBA Offer

While in Manila, Emmanuel Houzé met with representatives of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), which brings together over 800 member companies operating in the region.

This partnership aims to deliver the MBA in Digital Business & Innovation—fully online—to employees of ECCP member companies. The offer will be enhanced with localized content and professional services, including:

  • Training modules tailored to Philippine business needs

  • Networking opportunities among participants

  • Dedicated events, with the first scheduled for Friday, September 27

This initiative reflects IAE Montpellier’s commitment to developing high-value executive education programs for international markets, in close collaboration with local economic actors.

Dual Degree Programs in Development with Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan

On the island of Mindanao, in Cagayan de Oro, IAE Montpellier is expanding its long-standing collaboration with Xavier University—a strategic academic partner of the University of Montpellier, with whom it has already collaborated on Erasmus+ Capacity Building projects such as Project GECKO.

Two new dual degree programs are currently in development:

  • A Bachelor in International Management & Business (BIMB)

  • A dual MBA, jointly awarded by Xavier University and IAE Montpellier

These programs will promote student mobility, foster joint academic initiatives, and help build a coherent and sustainable international educational offer.

An Ambitious International Strategy

These initiatives demonstrate the central role of internationalization in IAE Montpellier’s long-term development strategy. Through enduring partnerships, transnational degree programs, and a locally adapted academic offer, IAE Montpellier is positioning itself as a key player in the Asia-Pacific academic landscape.

Our sincere thanks to Campus France Philippines, the Embassy of France to the Philippines and Micronesia, and all our partners for their support in making these ambitious projects possible.
